Jerry
Chesness grew up on a small general farm near Hart, MI, and attended
Michigan State University and Louisiana State University. After working
for the Soil Conservation Service in Florida and the LSU Extension
Service, he accepted a faculty position at The University of
Georgia in Biological and Agricultural Engineering. He retired in 1999
after 31 years of service. He and his wife, Betty, attend Saint James
United Methodist Church and the Mears United Methodist Church (Mears,
MI). Jerry and his wife of 57 years have a son, a daughter, and four
grandchildren. Jerry is an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoys snow
skiing. |
